Nope. The surcharge is calculated on the LH ticket stock and has nothing to do with the actual operating carrier.

This is always my pet peeve as SYD-NZ flights operated by NZ and booked as NZ flights cost some 250 AUD in taxes when issued as LH award and some 95 AUD when issued as UA awards .
