I also recommend Island House: It's the only real full-service all-male, gay guesthouse in Key West. Others try hard, but IH seems to make the stay effortless every time...

Ask for the owners suite, facing Fleming street and the pool. It's got a wonderful hammock on the private side patio and is away enough from the pool to stay quiet, but keep you in the loop.
