As rightly stated by others in the thread it's all about expectation.

Just landed in IAH from LGW. Mini trip report on CW. Good parts of CW:

at LGW:
-shower at LGW (no waiting)
-nice to see BA are picking up on comments in this forum as I was approached by someone in the F lounge to ask if I'd like any food! (actually never seen so many bacon baps being served)
-very friendly staff in the lounge
On flight:
-greeting by CSD and welcoming me back on the route
-great crew and excellent service
-take off delay was made up during flight
-had a 2.5 hr connection at Gatwick and on arrival I checked with groundstaff to see if my bag had made it. It was listed as 'possible' (as in could possibly have made the connection) - it did which was good.

Less good (no surprises here...):
-lunch was bland (tandoori prawn dish turned out to be a salad. I also tried the steak which was very dry and overcooked
-TV size on the 777 is small and has no AVOD

So all in all a good experience. Possibly as my expectations are not extremely high (a side effect from reading a lot of FT posts ). I will go out tonight to make up for the steak and the screens and AVOD should be resolved (and hopefully working) after the 777 refit...
