There are few, if any, stronger ways to bring out the primal protective rage in a man than to see his pregnant wife abused. Throw a pregnant woman on the ground, and you might even get some mob action from nearby unrelated men.
And I hope that juries would be sympathetic and consider it self defense. You do still have a right of self-defense for protecting your spouse, right?
Well, someone had to respond to the ludicrous nature of your statement, so I'll bite.
In most jurisdictions, fighting the police, even in the event of a wrongful arrest, is still a crime, ie resisting arrest. Plus, it's not always a good idea to fight with a guy/gal with a gun and such other nice handy tools as pepper spray, collapsible baton, Tazer, etc....you generally lose. Another point...there are what, 600,000 cops in the US. How about you putting some real statistics up to back up some of the claims made on this board about "DHS/Law Enforcement goons. You're using an awfully broad brush there, bud...some real fact-based truth on this forum would actually be refreshing. Oh, one last point...exactly WHAT should they do, simply ignore the "possible threat." Sure, it may not be likely...but, then again, history suggested the 9/11 hijackings and the use of commercial aircraft as a weapon system wasn't really that likely either. Bottom line...threats change and so does the need to continue to REALISTICALLY assess potential threats. No, this doesn't mean that pregnant women should be man-handled carte blanche, but IT DOES MEAN THAT SCRUTINY SHOULD BE APPLIED WHEN CERTAIN OTHER FACTORS (demeanor, verbal cues, etc.) EXIST. Potential badguys/girls won't necessarily fit the young middle eastern male standard...remember the two Chechen women in Russia? The largest muslim population in the world is where...Indonesia. Oh, let's not forget the muslim population in Eastern Europe...well, damn, a lot of them look pretty much just like the rest of us. Ok, flamesuit on, so flame away in your continued efforts to discredit EVERYTHING done by DHS/TSA/government without any factual support.
