The guy manning the WTMD did want to see the boarding pass, and was annoyed that I'd left it in my purse. While there were seven TSA folks standing around that one line, we had to wait until they finished their chatting to give me back my purse and get my boarding pass, and at that point he looked at it for a moment and then waved me through. (DIA never asks for the boarding pass at the WTMD, so I don't know if they're following procedure or LAX is, but there certainly isn't any great consistency between airports.)

Boy, do I feel safe now.
You didn't let that purse get out of your sight, did you?
