I've just booked my wife, mother in law and my 3 month old a miles trip to Barbados in March, returning in First. BA have booked them in 4 EF neither of which has a bassinet position. The only seats in First on a 777 with a bassinet are 1A and 1K. Now, according to seatmap (and the BA Gold support line) 1E & F are occupied. So they are offering me 1A & 3A. I asked if they would either:

a) reseat the pax in 1E/F into 4E/F, thereby allowing us to have two seats together, one of which has a bassinet (I know I wouldn't mind reseating from the middle seats in row 1 to row 4, but that's just me)

b) Move us to the second flight the same day where the entire row 1 is currently unoccupied and there are only 4 seats booked out of 14. However, there are no miles seats available.

Needless to say the reply is 'understand your frustration, nothing we can do, etc, etc..

Does anyone - particularly a BA lurker if there are any - know if this situation is resolvable pre-flight?
