Like I said, sometimes. I had a customer who wanted to go earlier to Pittsburgh, passenger had a full fare, not a nonref/advance purchase type, but a full fare ticket. The next avail routing was on US Air. I advsed the passenger, US times, flts and sent passenger to them. Lo and behold, didn't US Air send them back saying they wanted it endorsed. Fine I endorsed it. Back went the passenger, back the passenger came. Now US Air wanted us to reissue it. That was no way, since now United has to pay for the processing of the reissue ticket. In the end passenger stayed on original flts. Like I said, some agents will take the full fare ticket and call it a day, some will make the passenger dance through hoops of fire to make them accept the ticket.Full fare tickets do not need to be endorsed, some airlines will get request it if the ticket has had a discount some companies receive for quantity purchases on airlines.
Its a contract a company makes with a airline, saying we will put all our business on you for i.e 10% discount. I still take those anyway if I have seats. Full fare international ticket acceptance really depends upon the agreement each airline has with each other. Star Alliance carriers, excluding SQ will take each others full fare tickets without requiring endorsements, and in a invol situation they will reissue them.
