Airlines typically set schedules for the next six months or so. This helps coordinating codeshares, airport slots, etc. Yes adjustments are also made throughout the year but major changes tend to be updated 2 per year.

Recently many airlines updated schedules for the northern summer 08. The new times just get applied to the end of schedule (ie until Feb 09 right now), but they will later get adjusted back for northern winter.

So the Jan 09 flight times that you are looking at likely will not apply - they'll get changed again in about 6 months.
