Ha ha ha........I live in the SF Bay Area. Home ownership does not seem to be appearing in my future......only 1.7 million for a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom single family home. What a steal!!

After being here for 2.5 years, my credit rating has come back up to my previous Canadian score. I still get comments on my "you've only had accounts open for 2.5 years", but then I add in my Canadian credit score documents and they say "Ah, I see.......even though we have no idea where this Canada that you claim to be from is located........".

Getting a mortgage hasn't been a problem - getting a mortgage that I can afford to by a ridiculously overpriced house is another story ha ha ha.

I'm considering living in a van down by the river..........only $750,000......

All I can say is that I feel your pain and be patient - it should work out soon enough but it does take time.
