I'm on a long term account (*yeah*) recently and we've made the decision to do priceline only for my rental cars. The price difference is amazing.
In DFW for a week avis was 52/day (right at $300 all in picking up Monday at noon and dropping off Thursday at 1900). Done this for months. Price lined one at $155 all in this week (alamo).

My company makes me use National or Avis, so I go through them. I despise Alamo with a passion (even though they have the same corporate parent as National) and avoid them if at all possible, so I wouldn't want to go through Priceline and get stuck with them. I have some personal rentals coming up though, so I may do that anyway for those cases.
