At the risk of going even further OT,

Mad_atta: if your HSBC card is a corporate card, it may not show up on your credit rating at all

Mugatu: have you bought a house? My current poor credit rating in the US (again, despite excellent scores in Canada) is occasionally irritating here. (Picture my embarrassment at being turned down for a GAP card!) But I worry it could have more serious implications for mortgage shopping. Do you have any experience?
