But I have these observations about the program:

(a) Only golds can give them. Since golds ride in the F cabin much of the time (except transcons :-) ), reserve F/A are unlikely to encounter them, since they are unlikely to be designated the "A" F/A.
I appreciate your comments. You're spot on in that all of our employees work very hard, and some with very little notice. FA's seem to be the ones that get the award certificates most, but there are as many CSA's out there working hard to make sure your travel experience is as pleasant as it can be, often times in ways you don't even notice.

I wanted to point out one thing that you probably didn't realize. Reserves are just as likely to be assigned the "A" position as any other. My experience on Reserve (granted, it was some time ago) was that I more often than not seemed to end up working the "A" position (or the "senior" position to those of you that may not know what the "A" position means). Many FA's prefer not to work the "A" position and should a position come available in the back, will trade out of it, leaving it to be assigned to the Reserve. Just thought I would throw that out there. It's a common misperception that, on domestic flights, the First Class Flight Attendant is always the one that has the most seniority.
