Situation: Award booking for 4 LON-LAX via LX; returning 11 April.
Now 2 of us would like to fly back from ATL on 16 April, to attend an unexpected event on 15 April. Sen line says "can't change routing" and " no flights back from LAX on 16 or 17 April.
What I would have liked to avoid is the need to get home Friday, and get back on a plane Monday to fly back over the Atlantic.
Thanks in advance
New routing means new tickets, no way to rebook. So your chance is to get a later flight back from LAX and you take care yourself between ATL and LAX. However, I don't think you have a realistic chance with LX.
So, take it easy. If you fly in a premium cabin it is not to difficult (IMHO) to fly longhaul forward and backward within 2 or 3 days (Did this often). And your flight to ATL 2 days after your arrival from LAX adjusts you perfectly into EDT.
