This makes me want to buy a Rolls-Royce! Seriously, I've wanted one since I was a kid... in fact in November I came very close to bidding on a really nice '87 Silver Spur at the McCormick's auction in Palm Springs. (maybe I might have if the stock market hadn't just tanked the week before.... ) I'm also a member of Great Autos of Yesteryear, but my '04 BMW isn't very vintage yet.

Anyway, don't mean to derail the thread...

Cute story in the OP, BTW, I wish was flying F & C when I was 25! I'd probably have more interesting stories to tell if I did.
