I'm heading to Munich for four days at the end of the month to research some details for our wedding. (believe it or not, we found a place that while it's not a beer hall, will replicate hofbrauhaus with the proper decorations.)

Anyway, I'm going it alone and this will be my first trip inside the german borders. As a car lover, The Ring ranks highly on my list of places to go before I die, but I've heard that there are waivers you need to sign at the airport saying you WILL NOT take the car to the Ring.

Is this indeed true?

If not, how hard will it be to locate an S4/RS4 for the weekend? Are there any exotic rental houses at MUC like at LAX?
