I've done it, but you've got to use a combo of software (at least I did).
- For the video, just use normal capture/edit/encode methods. Encode to DVD but DON'T AUTHOR.
- For the pics, use a DVD movie making program such as Ulead DVD Pictureshow. I do (author) 1 day at a time, but that's your preference. Extract the completed VOB's.
- For the travelogue, you could use a picture editor (Photoshop or even Microsoft Paint) and run through Step #2.
- Lastly, you need an authoring program to put it all together. I recommend DVD Lab Pro.
As you can see, it's not for the faint of heart and I'm not including a lot of details.
