SEA-> DUB please advise on best business class options
My husband, who has no status on AA, will be flying to Dublin from Seattle. His is on company travel so they pay for business class as long as one of the segments is more than 6 hours long. ^
I'm trying to encourage him to fly AA and do a gold or possibly a platinum challenge as we're planning on vacationing in Europe in '09 or '10 and I would feel awfully bad if I sat in business class and he had to be in coach because he didn't have enough miles.
The routes I see on aa.com are either SEA - ORD - DUB or SEA - JFK - DUB. I suggest through ORD as international business class is much nicer than domestic. The flights change over to Aer Lingus for the trans-con portion (A330).
I have looked into OneWorld partner, BA, as the flights are nice SEA - LHR - DUB but they are $2,000 more than the U.S airlines so Mr. PBQ can't justify the cost.
I'm really a novice about international flying so any tips would be appreciated.
Is the Sea - ORD - DUB the best AA or OneWorld has to offer?
