It depends....

If say your name is John Wai Fung Lee, and your AP card is spelt as John WF Lee, but your tickets are issued as LEE / JOHN WAI FUNG, then it's ok. But if you issued your tickets as LEE/WAIFUNG JOHN then you *might* have some problems.

A simple letter to Aeroplan with copy of your passport and ticket information explaining of what you did at time of joining might rectify the problem. You'll have less problems next time when you travel on partner airlines.
