IMHO, if you are looking at who has better mile redemption availablity, I would say AA is the best one. AND, the industry is doing a great job in the USA, that is, with its constant intricate planning of mileage programs being tuned in such ways to attract customers based on the idea that they will clamor just to get the miles and do/buy just about anything for them. As sick as it can be (yes, I too AM addicted to this stuff) it is all rather ingenieus marketing in many cases, I think. (Of course, the more we 'work' to get miles, the more some of us feel that one day the whole shootin' match is going to stop or change NOT in our favor over night and all the points with just up and go by the wayside! GONE, BYE BYE! And THAT must be part of their smart marketing scheme too! SOME PEOPLE might be sold on the idea so much so that they think like this: "Oh no, I'd better GET those miles before... they all dissapear!") and some of those people (yeah, sometimes me included) DO have a bit of time on their hands to do the chase. (But I am not bored with life).

Of course, in terms of the industry as a whole and how they are doing?...
OR how they treat customers?...
Hmmmm... I would say they all need a ton of work. More than most industries!

Hope this helps start something...
