You do get (and I have got) TPs on a DXB-BAH sector.
When I flew the route last year, its was only a 2-class regional seat plane; i.e. no First and not very comfort in Business either for 40 TPS. Still it is a short flight. I see the have upgraded the metal now to a 3-class A330-300. Its rather early in the morning though.
You might want to sample Emirates First. Separate check-in area at DXB with porter service for your bags at kerb-side, nice lounge in DXB, mini-bar by the side of your seat and 500+ channels on AVOD for your 35 mins flight.
However, being a true BA FTer, the correct answer is, take a taxi from DXB to AUH; and try a AUH-MCT return for 360TPs in First.
