I couldn't care less about OP's complaints. LAX is an antique but a dump it ain't. And I am grateful that UA finally settled on T-6 for elite check-in. I've never needed more than 10 minutes to clear security. That's all that matters to me--convenience. I don't need towering steel and glass and marble floors and potted palms to soothe my angst and sensitivities.

We have a choice of five airports in the L.A. area. As LAX obviously didn't rise to OP's standards, there are LGB, BUR, SNA, and ONT to contend for their affection. Personally I prefer LGB, BUR, and SNA.

L.A. is a great place. Do visit again.
