A plane can land in a 100 mile headwind no problem. Only concern is a direct 90 degree crosswind, which I believe is limited to 35-50 knots in most large jets, and the smaller the jet, the smaller that number. Of course, is it's quartering crosswind (about 45') it's less of a problem, so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

(My small plane is able to land in a 17 kt direct crosswind.)
