It was a hell of a trip! Even for a jaded emerging-market traveler like myself, Mongolia was pretty wild--and that last part about re-booking the trip home still reigns as my top seat-of-the-pants, pull-an-aviation-miracle-out-of-the-bag achievement ever. I never did manage to do a trip report even for my friends and family, but I do have a photo archive of the whole thing plus a diary from the trip. Someday, when I have a couple of days with no travel and no work and nothing to do I will write it all down...maybe in 20 years!
