This particular law varies in severity quite a bit from state to state. In some states, it's a joke and rarely enforced, others a summons is issued, and others you go to JAIL and have to post bail.
I don't scold people for trying to sell their miles. They earned them and if they can get away with it, good luck to them! The point about being aware of the consequences is valid, although I doubt if anyone is going to call the police if the OP has a drink at the CRC.
As for the "laws are laws" types... whatever. Just look old enough and act like you belong there. No big deal, I highly doubt you'll get carded. Have a drink if you want to, 21 is a joke anyway
