I'm in Moscow right now, and the cabs at SVO are legendary. While waiting for a minibus (50 RUB per person, about $2) to the nearest subway station, we had cab drivers approach us asking as much as 4000 RUB ($160) for the same route. It's a point where I don't care even if they will charge a reasonable price, I just don't want to deal with them. The minibus is fine and charges a flat rate and I don't have to argue about it.

I did talk my cheapo Russian friend out of taking the city bus, which makes multiple stops and travels the congested main highway, and tends to be packed beyond belief. The minibuses only sell the actual seats, and take the back roads without any stops.
