Where BA operates a flight with a stopover (e.g. LGW-ANU-UVF) and where both legs carry the same flight number, is it possible to book the two legs on separate PNR's and check in at the origin for both and check baggage through to the final destination ?
There are a variety of reasons why one might want to do this, not all connected with the opportunity to earn another 120 points !
I am assuming that the flights can actually be booked in this way, on the basis that BA has the relevant traffic rights.
A definitive practical answer would be appreciated, rather than something purely theoretical
