I heartily agree on the bring-wine-and-pay-corkage recommendation. I do that almost everywhere. Just be sure to bring something that's not on their list. Note, also, that many have a bring-one-buy-one policy, where the corkage fee for your bottle is waived if you order a bottle off their list. Boulevard and Jardiniere both do that. That basically shaves the corkage fee off the top of your second bottle. If you bring a really nice red, you can buy the white off the list and wind up with a very fine one with a reasonable effective cost.
BTW: Aqua lost its second star when the 2008 Michelin guide came out. My post above is, therefore, outdated. Sorry for that.
