I'm curious about this, too. I love the laws in the US because it means I can come home with hair that doesn't reek. But I have difficulties imagining it in a place like Berlin. I studied abroad there for a summer, and we would take smoking breaks during class. Some of the instructions and some of the students would just hang out by the window during the break before resuming.
