OP is asking for problems
1) On the iteranary putting only 1.5 hours on a international connection. 2 hours is the bare min per the experience/experts (3 hours for myself.)
2) Manila may be an outpost for Asiana and staff contracted out.
3) Counters like those in Manila (or SEA) are open from 10:30 to an hour before take off.
4) Buying deep discount tickets and not adding a huge time buffer is asking for more problems (especially with cancelled/delay flights.)
5) Flipinos are not the only ones sacrastic, other Asians are like that (and slow customer service also.) Then again, even US customer service is sometimes poor/slow.
6) the OP should have called Asiana Manila to get alternatives or Asiana US.
Stuff happens, I see it everyday. I wish I have a quarter everytime it happens...
