Made a booking error online, want to change...
Hi I was helping my girlfriend make a change to her flight back to the UK. It was IAD-LHR-MAN and we wanted to move it 4 days later. However, online they when you go to change flights there is no way they distinguish between LHR and LGW like they do when booking a flight when it says, "warning connection involves transferring to another airport.."
After confirmation I thought no way and called BA web support in the US since the UK line was closed. The gentleman said he couldn't change it since it was a UK departure but he made a note in her booking reference. I asked if it would have been a free change had it been a US departure and he said yes he would have done so.
She tried to call the UK web support since it said they are open 24 hours a day for online check in support. The gentleman she spoke to said she would need to change online and pay the fifty pound charge. I know in the BA guide it says there is a 24 hour cooling off period, well to be polite. So any advice would be greatly appreciated! So annoyed with myself though and will certainly pay to change it if it is needed.
