Two excellent experiences today on our SIN to SEA flights are reasons we stick with United. We had a grueling trip starting at noon Wednesday in Capetown with a 12 hour SQ flight to SIN, a followed by a quick transfer to United 804 to Narita. We were booked in W but did have seat 21 J/K (great leg room) but upon check in we saw our boarding passes ripped up and traded for nice business class seats. What a relief. On United 876 from Narita to SEA we were treated to an exceptional Seattle-based flight crew. We were personally greeted by Yvonne and her team, thanked for our 1K loyalty and asked how they could make our flight experience better. What followed was help re-seating us to a center section with some vacant seats so that we could sleep, they brought us some more comfy business class blankets, got us some newspapers, and frequently came by to see what needs we had. What a way to make an economy experience tolerable. We got home after 32 hours on planes/in airports and want to thank United for making a brutal trip much less brutal. ^^
