Any normal trip with some other business is probably 2-3 days, at least a weekend. To tell you the truth, while I like bargains and discovering things, I probably won't bother with a promotion that forces me to interrupt my trip or business in the middle to look for and move to another hotel.
That's easily dealt with with a good booking engine. I've booked multi-night stays hotels lots of times where the rate changes over the course of the stay. Such as a Thu/Fri/Sat stay where Fri/Sat are cheaper than Thu.

Thus, you could book a 2-night stay with the first night at $10, and the second night at the regular rate (let's say $100). It averages out to $55 a night, which is still a good deal. There's really no reason why someone would have to move to another hotel.
