Hmmm - So I'm a UK member booking on BA.com.

Does this mean if I leave my "Country" on BA.com to UK and book the ticket departing from the USA then I'm okay ? .. but if I change my Country to the US site then I wouldnt' be able to MFU the ticket as it would be issued in by BA in the USA ?

More than a little bizarre if that's the case !

I guess the question is what do I need to do on BA.com to make the ticket be issued by BA in Newcastle rather than somewhere else around the world I wouldn't be able to MFU
