As you are connecting onto an AA flight, you will have to claim any checked in baggage and clear customs with it in ORD, then drop it off at the AA interline desk.
And now...MORE confusion!
I specifically called the IE web help desk today to ask if the Kiosk or online booking would provide me with the onward boarding card. They said no, just the first one, but the check-in desk WOULD give me BOTH cards!!
I also asked...will my checked in bag (I have a suitcase weighing about 56lb) go all the way to Seattle or do I have to collect it? The young woman checked with her supervisor and said "yes, it will go right through to Seattle IF you check in at the desk and not the kiosk or online!"
Confused???
