This sounds similar to what has happened at MAN T3 for a while, although they only take a photograph.

When the scheme was first introduced there, you could opt to not have your photograph taken and be escorted from security to the gate once your flight was ready to board, but I think that has changed so that now they will refuse you access to the terminal unless you agree to the photo.
