Hi all, new to this forum (SPG member). Going to Germany and Austria for two weeks around Christmastime and looking for nice properties in Salzburg, I stumbled upon the IC Berchtesgaden. This place looks excellent!! But at 40,000 points a night, it's pretty spendy.

Because I already had a Priority Club # but with only 2000 pts in my account, I looked to see if there were any ways I could earn some points rapidly.... saw the PC Chase offer for 30,000 pts after my first purchase, so I signed up for that and got approved.

Now I need another 8,000 pts so I might have to bite the bullet and just put $8,000 on my card in order to accrue enough points.

Would you recommend just saving the points and paying cash for this property? Have you seen it go for less than 40000 pts? (website says between 30000-40000 pts)

Any other properties that are fewer points that would be worthwhile in the Bavaria region?

Ideally I'd love to spend 2 nights at this property rather than 1, but don't see any way of getting 80000 pts by then, unless you have some tips you could give me.
