I was just playing with da bomb and came up with this fare by accident....

When I searched TPE-LAX one way, I was surprised to pull up a

$890 all in fare booked in B.

When I searched LAX-TPE one way, I was able to pull up a

$1270 all in fare booked in B

So, roundtrip would be $2160 all in, B fare which means one could use only 15,000 miles to upgrade to C each way AND receive a 50% bonus EQM.

Total EQM: 20865 (LAX-SFO-TPE-SFO-LAX)

Not mileage running worthy based on cpm (although LAX-TPE segment is pretty darn good!). However, this is a great deal I think, especially when you consider the fact that you get extra EQMs AND can upgrade using only 15K miles!

I thought I'd share....

p.s. I don't think B is refundable, but prices will not go up, for sure, and B will be available unless the flight is close to being sold out. So, you just have to pay the $100 change fee and you could pretty much change it to any other dates you'd like....pretty flexible too.
