I flew from FRA to AKL in C and had a stop-over of approx. 12 hours in KUL - arriving in the morning and leaving in the evening. MH provided a stop-over hotel for the day. It was the Pan Pacific hotel which can be reached within a 3 minutes walk from the terminal. However to get to the Pan Pacific you do have to enter Malaysia. If you are on transit and leave within 1 or 2 days you should not be charged any taxes when leaving the country.

In case of doubt, call the MH office. They should be able to give you a correct answer.
