Some people collect safety cards and barf bags. Most serious collectors (I am not one of them) will always ask for an extra card and the FA's usually do.

There is a fine line between a barf bag and other consumables and safety items such as seat belts and life vests.

The one question I have is what about those plastic salt and pepper shakers they give you with your meals--they come with with a plastic seal on them and if you use them, do the airlines pay someone to refill and reseal them or do they just throw them out?
