Taking and returning magazines to another aircraft is fine. I'm opposed to taking blankets or cutlery, though it's not as bad as taking seat belts which happens in Norway. People who are supposed to be hip wear the seat belts as belts!

I must confess that I was tempted to take a TWA fork during the last days of TWA. They probably threw them away. Pan Am tried to auction them by the crate after bankruptcy.
