MP claims that only 1Ks were told their (5,000) bonus miles would count for status and that this wasn't true for the 2,500 bonus miles for 1Ps.

Are there any 1Ps that have a letter that can verify this is not true? Maybe even post a scanned version (with your info blanked out)?

(I didn't get the letter, called and was told I'd get the miles and they'd count for status. Got the miles but they haven't counted for status yet.)
