Fare rules in North America really are simplified, despite FT joking to the contrary.
Latitude is completely described by:
- full refundability
- changeability (plus fare difference)
- same day free change at airport (OLCI counts)
- standyby
- upgradable with any cert
What else is there? The only annoyances are the web/agent fare differences and the fact that an upgraded fare cannot be changed.
But it really doesn't matter. If you need to change a Latitude booking that you can't change online, then you simply cancel the booking and make the new booking online from scratch.
As far as fare rules in North America go, the rules for T, T+, and Exec are also completely described on the website. So I really don't see the problem there.
For other fares, when you can actually access the explicit fare rules on the website, yes, the AC.com text formatting is impenetrable. So I simply replicate the booking on ITN or look up the fare on KVS where the formatting makes it reasonable.
