I just flew back from AMS. I guess you're right about the headphones. I bought my own, so i did not use the UA ones, but I saw from the other passengers that they were the non-noise reducing ones. I bought a bose headphones. Really expensive, but worth the money. They are comfortable and you can sleep in them. They also make inflight movies or movies on your laptops soo much better. I know they are expensive but you can check them out on ebay or if you live in Denver..There is a bose outlet in loveland (call ahead to make sure they have them). Good luck
