When I booked this flight, I wanted to minimize the travel time, since it was eating into my vacation. The other idea of going through SIN to increase miles and/or segments never would have occurred to me. Also, I wouldn't have had a clue about how to do it. Now I do.

Also, there's no angst here. Maybe I could have saved a couple of hundred dollars. Last year I ended with 24,600 miles and could easily have manipulated my flights to get over 25,000. No use crying over spilled milk. I'm not upset I didn't have this information before, I'm just glad I finally do have it.
