Wow, that was quick. Thank you for your responses. It was by reading through this site that I even thought of trying to manipulate the multi-city bookings to get specific flights. This forum has been a real eye opener.

I don't fly that often, but with occasional trips to BKK and my United credit card, I will have over 85,000 miles after my next trip. I was hoping to upgrade this flight, but I bought non-upgradable tickets. If I'd known then (last month) what I know now...
