CO has a 100% lock on the NYC market as they offer the only n/s choices with no threat of competition and the associated fare dilution accompanying it - be it from oversea or LCC J carriers.
Likewise, please don't worry about the IAH market. We're just not that important for CO. It's not like they have to worry about overseas carriers such as EK, SQ, QR, etc. swooping in and directly attacking CO's international routes ex. IAH. or connecting passengers...completely aside from the fact no premium route demand exist as the big industries here (horses, manure management, and dust production) don't fly internationally.

I was not trying to really disparage any other U.S. city, but in all instensive purposes, EWR NYC is more imporant in having a nonstop flight to MAA.
IAH should have nonstop flight to Europe if need be, but it is quite ridiculous in having a nonstop flight between IAH-MAA.
A nonstop flight between EWR-MAA is more important considering their are many Tamils and Adhra(coastal) Indians in the New York/New Jersey area as compared to Houston.
