It's unclear as to whether or not, this includes UA Express? It certainly wouldn't surprise me with what UA has farmed out to UAX. (It might be that I'm just accustomed to reading the CO reports that separate mainline from regional....is such a separation typical? or just something CO does?)

I think other carriers will eventually follow. Carrying around an extra couple of tons of needless baggage costs a lot of money. Heck, Air Canada is so conservative, they'll barely let me bring my laptop on-board.
