I'd suggest flying to Hawaii, then catching an island hopper (Aloha, Hawaiian). I've gone to Maui twice, both on awards, and the flight times were brutal. On our last trip we went from Maui to Kauai and rode up front for the 40 minute flight for about $100/person round trip. Maybe not the best use of money, but it was great to be able to have some Mai Tai's (yummy yummy) and look at the other islands.
