IF you get a MacBook Air (I am not specifically recommending that; others already have

One downside of the ultra-cool backlit keyboard is that the characters on the keys, instead of being etched, are just left unpainted when the rest of the key is covered with aluminum-colored* paint. That way the backlighting can show through the transparent plastic the keys are made of.
So, get a keyboard skin for about $20. They come in patterns to fit just about any keyboard. In my case, because I have a fairly heavy touch, they also cushion the keys and reduce the sound. Finally, they prevent small spills from getting down between the keys, where they would not be a Good Thing. You might want to do this even if you don't get an MBA.
