Correct, but be aware that when there is a weight problem (which there has been on probably 1/2 the EMB flights I've been on -- which means not necessarily a full load but in fact too few people -- the FA will invite folks to take "any open seat" behind row 6. Therefore I've started reserving 9A and at check-in will sometimes shift to 9C if available.
